Students are permitted to carry cell phones with them throughout the school day. To accommodate their needs, we have incorporated three designated technology breaks into the school schedule, allowing students the opportunity to utilize their devices. If you need to reach your child during school hours, please contact the school directly.

Valuables, cash, and personal belongings should remain at home. Hopewell is not responsible for personal items that are lost, stolen, or damaged.

1. Certified staff members administer medications during the school day. A registered nurse oversees the staff members and monitors the student’s medication administration on a regular basis for therapeutic value and side effects. Arrangements will be made to transport necessary medication to school. Medications are kept in a locked cabinet at all times.
2. Medications must be in the original pharmacy container and must be labeled with the medication name and prescribed dose to be administered. The label must be consistent with contents.
3. A Medication Administration Form must be completed and signed prior to the dispensing of any medication. A physician form must also be completed.
4. Any change in prescription or dosage should be reported immediately and a new permission form must be obtained. The parent/guardian provides medication.

Your child's teacher will provide a list at the start of the academic year. Generally, basic items like pens, pencils, and paper are sufficient. We offer all textbooks and most materials without any extra charges.

We have an alert system to keep you informed of any emergency closings via text message, phone call, and email. Additionally, a closing will be promptly listed on the Hopewell website for your convenience. If your home district is closed, please be assured that your son or daughter will be excused due to the unavailability of transportation.

If your child will be absent from school, please notify us as soon as possible. If we have not heard from you and your child does not arrive at school, we will contact you to confirm their absence. Please contact the transportation company to avoid an unnecessary trip. If your child is expected to be out of school for an extended period of time, contact us to pick up school work.

Transportation is provided by the student's home school. Students with a valid driver's license and insurance are permitted to drive to school provided they have written consent from both parents and the school.

We provide a small breakfast featuring breakfast bars and juice. Lunch is offered daily through the Hope's Kitchen Culinary Arts Program. The cost of lunch is $2.50 per day, unless you receive free or reduced lunch through the home school . To keep you informed, a lunch calendar is sent home a month in advance, ensuring you can plan ahead accordingly.

The school day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m.
