Our Students

Hopewell Academy is dedicated to serving special education students aged 12-21 who have a current Individualized Education Program (IEP) and are diagnosed with various disabilities. The academy implements these IEPs and offers the necessary support and accommodations to ensure academic and social success. Here's a breakdown of the disabilities represented in the student population:

  • Emotional Disability: Students experiencing challenges related to emotional disturbances impacting their academic performance and social interactions.

  • Specific Learning Disability: Individuals with difficulties in specific academic areas, such as reading, writing, or math, despite average or above-average intelligence.

  • Other Health Impairment: Students with health conditions that affect their learning, such as ADHD or health issues requiring accommodations.

  • Traumatic Brain Injury: Individuals who have sustained a brain injury resulting in cognitive, physical, emotional, or behavioral impairments impacting their ability to learn.
